
The Aquanaut programme is designed to teach people in a realistic manner, skills and techniques which will encourage safety and confidence in water. Proficiency skills such as keeping afloat, water survival and the prevention of hypothermia are included.
This scheme is suitable for teaching personal survival and swimming skills to people of all ages, and is particularly ideal to children.
Each of the test sequence is intended to build water confidence and survival techniques. Each time a level is completed, your success is recorded on a certificate. You are then ready to progress to the next level.
This award which you will automatically receive when you complete both Rescue Skills 4 and Safe Swimmer 4.
What do you do next?
Having passed the Awards in the Aquanaut scheme it does not end there! There are many more advanced lifesaving awards and activities in which you can become involved, including the Bronze Medallion which is the basic test of a qualified lifesaver.
